Tomorrow I will be racing at the Historic Hickory Motor Speedway! The car is ready and I'm excited to be back at the track. Hickory is the closest track to my home in Mooresville that the Allison Legacy series goes to so It is sort of a home track to me. I even did an interview with Tom Gillipsie, a writer for the Hickory Daily, about racing at Hickory. I also, have a potential marketing partener coming to watch so I need to do good this weekend and show them what I can do for them. Wish me luck!

3/22/14 race recap

Saturday started out well for me. The car was wicked fast off the trailer and I was probably the fastest in first practice. For second practice we decided to play with air pressures just to see what would happen. Qualifying didn't go to well, I qualified 4th but left alot out on the track. On the start of the race a door was open on the inside going into the first turn so I took it and came out of the first corner in 2nd. the car was a little loose off but I could still keep the leader with in a car length and it looked like the race was going to go well for me. However, on lap seven I was tapped in the left-rear and spun, another car hit me causing the steering gear box to be pushed into the harmonic balancer and flatening the left-front tire. I brought the car into the pits and my crew put a new tire on and I went back out. Because of the damage obtain in the wreck the car was dogging down the straight and sketchy at best through the turns. Luckily, I was able to limp home in fourth. Hopefully I will have a better race at Hickory in two weeks.

Today I will be racing at Southern National Motor Sports Park in Kenly, NC. This is only second time I will be racing at the smooth quarter mile track. But, I know I have a good car and an excelent team behind me. A win this weekend would definatley set my season up well since I am trying to run the full schedule this year. I am super excited to get back to racing, the winter was too long.

Hey guys, haven't been keeping very good track of the site lately but this season I hope to keep everyone uptaded with what I'm doing. Alot happened in 2013, It started out a little rocky but by the end of the season i was competeing for wins! Although I came a little short of a win I had my best finishes in the last two races of the season. At Orange County Speedway I held off the points leader, and later champion, Justin Laduke to take second place. The next race was in Florence, SC at Florence Motor Speedway where I avoided wrecks and drove through the field from my sixth place starting position to finish 3rd in the points race. That night I also qualified for the challenge race and finished in 2nd place. These two spectacular finishes help me secure 10th place in points, my best yet! This season I hope to improve on that agian and get a win or two or many ;P!

The next race In Ian's season will be at Orange County Motorspeedway in Rougemont, NC, on Saturday May 25th. Ian is excited to climb back in the car after having to sit out for the early part of the Allison Legacy Series Season. The looks good and will hopefully be fast. Ian says "I think this is the most ready we've ever been. I am looking foward to getting back in the car and Orange county is one of my favorite tracks." With the introduction of the new Hoosier Racing tire for this season, there will be abit of a learning curve for Ian and his Father, the crew chief.

Ian Isringhausen Racing is currently gearing up for the race season ahead. We are determined to have a good year with many more top five and top ten finishes. Ian has just recently graduated from Race 101, a driver education program designed to teach racers how to setup their cars and how to market themselves. With the newly gained information that Ian has taken in last year he is looking foward to the coming race season and getting back out on the track.
